1) Church of Sant’Antonio (Trullo Church)
Welcome to one of the quirkiest churches you’ll ever see! The Church of Sant’Antonio, built in 1926, looks exactly like a giant trullo. It was created to serve the growing population on the lower side of town and blends modern construction with the traditional dry-stone style that makes Alberobello so iconic. A charming and unusual start to your walking tour!
2) Trulli of Alberobello – UNESCO World Heritage Site
These famous cone-shaped houses are the stars of Alberobello! Trulli are an ancient example of smart, eco-friendly architecture: cool in summer, warm in winter, and built entirely without mortar. Their conical roofs, made of layered limestone “chiancarelle,” create natural insulation. Walking among them feels like stepping into a fairy-tale village.
3) Rione Monti
Now we head to the most visited district of Alberobello! Rione Monti is home to more than a thousand trulli spread across fifteen charming little streets. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this neighborhood is full of shops, viewpoints, and cozy corners—perfect for taking photos and enjoying the unique atmosphere of the town.
4) Trullo Siamese
This one is truly special! The Trullo Siamese stands out thanks to its double conical roof—two trulli merged into one structure, sharing a central wall. It’s considered one of the oldest buildings in town and shows just how creative local trullo builders could be. A fun and unique stop in the heart of Alberobello.
5) Rione Aia Piccola
Aia Piccola is the most authentic and least touristy part of Alberobello. Once the agricultural heart of the town, this neighborhood still feels wonderfully genuine. It’s full of quiet alleys, traditional homes, and local life. A must-see if you want to experience Alberobello beyond the main tourist routes.
You’ll also pass by the Museo del Territorio “Casa Pezzolla.”
6) Casa D’Amore
Built in 1797, Casa D’Amore was the very first house in Alberobello constructed with mortar—thanks to a royal decree finally allowing it! This marked the transition from temporary shelters to stable homes and represents a key moment in the town’s history. It may look simple, but it’s a symbol of freedom and progress.
7) Church of Saints Cosma and Damiano
Dedicated to the patron saints of Alberobello, this beautiful church dates back to 1784 and stands proudly in the historic center. It replaced a smaller chapel that no longer fit the growing community. With its elegant façade and spacious interior, it’s one of the main religious landmarks of the town.
8) Trullo Sovrano
Time for a grand finale: the only two-story trullo in all of Alberobello! The Trullo Sovrano is a masterpiece of 18th-century craftsmanship and shows how trulli evolved to accommodate wealthier families. It’s spacious, smartly designed, and full of interesting details—definitely a highlight of your visit.

At the beginning of every digital guide you will find a map that will show you the itinerary! However, you don’t need to use that one! Before every attraction / monuments included in the tour you will find a button that connects you to google map. You just press that button and you are done! Once you get to your destination you can go back to the digital guide and read/listen everything!
