Our starting point! This small square is the perfect place to discover the origins of Brescia’s history—and even learn how the city got its unusual nickname. A lively introduction to the local atmosphere.
2) Piazza della Vittoria
We continue to one of the most architecturally distinctive squares in Brescia. Here we’ll talk about the last 200 years of Italian history… and yes, even a rhinoceros! It’s a place full of stories and surprises.
3) Piazza della Loggia
A beautiful 15th-century square filled with Venetian influence. Piazza della Loggia is one of Brescia’s most iconic spots, but it also carries the memory of one of the most tragic attacks in Italian history. A place of beauty, elegance, and reflection.
4) Piazza Paolo VI
Also known as the Duomo Square, this charming piazza is a wonderful mix of architecture and centuries of life. With two cathedrals facing each other, it’s one of the most atmospheric corners of the city.
5) Old Cathedral of Brescia (Duomo Vecchio)
Built between the 11th and 12th centuries, the Old Cathedral is a rare circular Romanesque church inspired by the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Its massive dome and ancient stone interior make it one of Brescia’s most fascinating monuments.
6) New Cathedral (Duomo Nuovo)
Constructed between the 17th and 19th centuries, the New Cathedral is grand, bright, and monumental. With its impressive façade, huge columns, marble interiors, and beautiful frescoes, it’s a true masterpiece of Italian Baroque and Neoclassical architecture.
7) Teatro Grande
Right in the heart of the city stands the Teatro Grande, Brescia’s historic opera house. Known for its long cultural tradition, it remains a beloved landmark. We’ll enjoy its beauty from the outside and learn about its artistic legacy.
8) Capitolium and Piazza del Foro (Tempio Capitolino e Piazza del Foro)
This area dates back to the Roman age, when Brescia became part of the Roman territories in the 1st century BC. Piazza del Foro was once the heart of Roman Brixia, and the street here follows the ancient decumanus maximus. A great stop for archaeology lovers!
9) Roman Theatre (Teatro Romano)
The largest Roman theatre in northern Italy after Verona’s! Together with the nearby Capitolium, it forms one of the most important archaeological sites in the region. A must-see for understanding Brescia’s ancient roots.

At the beginning of every digital guide you will find a map that will show you the itinerary! However, you don’t need to use that one! Before every attraction / monuments included in the tour you will find a button that connects you to google map. You just press that button and you are done! Once you get to your destination you can go back to the digital guide and read/listen everything!
