1) Etruscan Arch (Arco Etrusco)
Located on Via Ulisse Rocchi, this monumental Etruscan gate was probably built in the 3rd century BC. It stands on the northern stretch of Perugia’s ancient walls, which once extended for about 3 km. Together with Porta Marzia, it was one of the two main entrances of the ancient city.
2) Medieval Aqueduct
Built starting in 1254, this 4 km-long aqueduct once carried water from Monte Pacciano to the iconic Fontana Maggiore. Today, its former path has become one of the most characteristic pedestrian routes in the city — perfect for photos!
3) Pozzo Etrusco (Etruscan Well)
Located beneath Palazzo Sorbello, this impressive well dates back to the second half of the 16th century and was acquired by the Bourbon di Sorbello family in 1780. An extraordinary journey into Perugia’s underground past.
4) Piazza IV Novembre
The heart of Perugia! This square has always been the center of political, religious and cultural life. Here you’ll find the Fontana Maggiore, important historic buildings, and major events such as Umbria Jazz, Eurochocolate and the International Journalism Festival.
5) Cathedral of San Lorenzo
Built on the remains of a 12th-century Romanesque church (itself built over the ancient acropolis!), the Cathedral of San Lorenzo is one of the city’s most important monuments. Its interior holds centuries of history, art and religious traditions.
6) Loggia di Braccio Fortebracci
Commissioned in 1423 by the great condottiero Braccio Fortebracci da Montone, this elegant loggia overlooks Piazza IV Novembre and once connected directly to his noble residence. A perfect spot to admire the square from above.
7) Corso Vannucci
Perugia’s main avenue, named after the Renaissance painter Pietro Vannucci (Perugino). Lined with cafés, shops and historic buildings, it connects Piazza Italia with Piazza IV Novembre and represents the lively soul of the city.
8) Rocca Paolina
A monumental 16th-century fortress built by Pope Paul III after the “Salt War”. To create it, roughly a quarter of medieval Perugia was demolished — the remains of which you can still explore in its fascinating underground tunnels. A must-see!
9) Belvedere del Borgobello
One of the best panoramic viewpoints in Perugia! From here you can admire the historic center, rolling Umbrian hills and rooftops. A popular meeting spot for locals, perfect for a peaceful break during your walk.

At the beginning of every digital guide you will find a map that will show you the itinerary! However, you don’t need to use that one! Before every attraction / monuments included in the tour you will find a button that connects you to google map. You just press that button and you are done! Once you get to your destination you can go back to the digital guide and read/listen everything!
